Deep within the heart of Madikeri, Kodagu, lies our place called Kaayam Kaad, meaning "Eternal Forest" in the local language. 

Step onto 3 acres of Treetop paradise, where the land dips and sways in a 40-degree incline. 
 

We have 3 options for the Stay.

Valley View -  Premium Upper Deck:  1 bed bath and a large deck overlooking the valley offering  stunning views of the valley. Ideal for a couple and a pet

Misty View - a Family stay for 4 - 2 Bedroom and 2 Bathroom - open balcony looking through the Tree top.

Forest View - A room - Ideal for a couple .

Each stay is private and offering ample Privacy.

If you find joy in valley views, fresh mountain air, and misty mornings, Kaayam Kaad may feel like home. Set on a natural hillside with gently sloping terrain, it embraces its untouched surroundings and is unlike a typical resort.

We don’t offer curated luxuries or hotel-style services; instead, we offer space, simplicity, and an authentic connection with nature. Not quite a homestay and certainly not a resort, it is something in between — something special. If you seek quiet moments , we would be delighted to host you.

Things to Note

Our home stay is not a hotel. Caretakers are available for immediate needs, they are every day folks.​

Food

1. Combination of meals or breakfast will not be possible.

2.***Outside Food is not allowed. Please do not bring in food in containers.

3. We buy and prepare post order - so informing us early provide us time. 

4. All our prices include Breakfast.

Sharing the hilltop with nature's, our Homestay thrives on a pesticide-free partnership.

KaayamKaad is for folks who are open to blend in with the nature and what comes with it.

Cleaning services:
Our rooms are cleaned and mopped every day between 11 am and 1 pm.

We request the Keys to be deposited with the caretaker when stepping out of the property. 

For guests staying for more than 2 days , we change the linens the 3rd day. 

Bath water - There are no geysers in our rooms. This being a hilly rural area power cuts are common, but hot water will be supplied, through the water taps from 6 AM to 10 AM and 6 PM to 9 PM.

Fire pit - Our staff will be available until 10pm 
Mosquito-Proofed Rooms: All rooms are fitted with mesh screens to keep mosquitoes out. Occasionally, a few insects may sneak in – just let us know or ensure the mesh doors are properly closed.


Leeches During Misty Weather: During heavy mist or after overnight rains, leeches may become active. If you're walking in with pets, please check them to avoid bringing leeches indoors.


No Pesticides Used: We consciously avoid using pesticides. Our philosophy is to let nature thrive – and invite you to explore it mindfully.


Our team retires for the day by 10:30 PM, so we request you to allow our team to rest by that time.

Our stays are about conversations with people , their experience, their outlook towards life and nature. Get to know them while they Serve you.

  • Drive to Dubare camp near Kushalnagar

  • Book a nature Coffee estate walk , brew your own coffee here

  • Day 1: Arrival & Treetop Unwinding

    • 2:00 PM: Check into Kaayam Kaad Madikeri. Let your pet explore our 3-acre pesticide-free natural forest and settle into the misty lower deck.

    • 3:30 PM: Take a 15-minute drive to Madikeri Fort or relax at our property and enjoy the breeze and the sunset.

    • 7:00 PM: Enjoy a traditional, freshly prepared Coorg-style dinner by our caretaker, right at the homestay.

  • Day 2: Adventure & Temple Visit

    • 8:30 AM: Fresh breakfast served on the deck.

    • 9:30 AM: Hire a private Jeep right from the property to Mandalpatti for stunning misty views  OR Drive to Dubare Elephant camp at Kushalnagar.

    • 2:00 PM: Head down to Omakareshwara Temple, a serene place to visit.

  • Day 3: Coffee Plantation Walk

    • 8:00 AM: Book our nature coffee estate walk, let your dog sniff through the trails, and brew your own fresh Coorg coffee before checking out.
